In Blackpitts in central Dublin, we completed a full upgrade to a terraced house, adding a dormer extension, to deliver a contemporary home in a storied location.

By reworking the original layout to maximise space, we were able to add a new pantry and allow the kitchen open seamlessly to the garden at the back.

Bathrooms were both added and refurbished while the dormer extension delivered a whole new space with views of the Dublin Mountains.

From a birch-ply kitchen and a cement grey quartz counter-top in the kitchen, through to vibrant yellow windows, and a calm Yves Klein blue in both bathrooms, we used colour to deliver character and energy throughout.

A custom-made white-slatted staircase illustrates the value of sculptured design, as it winds its way up through the house.
